Apple struck a deal with Arm in September last year. Arm said in July that its V9 chip accounts for 50 percent of smartphone revenue. In fact, Arm owns the intellectual property used behind the computing architecture for most of the world’s smartphones. The company then licenses it to other companies around the world, including Apple.
Apple uses Arm’s technology in the process of designing its own custom chips for its iPhone, iPad and Mac devices.
Apple is now going to introduce the iPhone 16 series on September 9 at its event It’s Glowtime. The lineup is likely to include iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. During the event, the company can also reveal the latest iOS 18, iPad OS 18, MacOS. Along with this, Apple Watch Series, AirPods and other products are also likely to be revealed.
