The current distance between the Moon and Earth is 3 lakh 84 thousand 400 kilometers. The Moon takes 27.3 days to complete one revolution around the Earth. The study says that the Moon is moving away at a speed of 3.82 centimeters every year. Due to this, after 200 million years, there may be a 25-hour day on Earth.

In another research, scientists have said that the distance between the Earth and the Moon which is 384,400 kilometers today, was 321,800 kilometers two and a half billion years ago and the length of the day was 16.9 hours instead of 24 hours.
