Epic Games has stated that installing the Epic Games Store on iOS and Android is currently difficult due to multiple steps, confusing settings and warnings introduced by Apple and Google. Epic Games has developed AltStore PAL, an app that takes advantage of the EU’s Digital Market Act (DMA) to make a third-party app store available to EU users for free. It is supported by Epic Games’ MegaGrant, which covers Apple’s core technology charge and makes AltStore PAL available without a subscription.
