Rimac Launches Fastest Electric Hypercar Nevera R, Top Speed of 412 kmph
The chassis of the new Nevera R has been improved. Its price is around $2.5 million (about Rs 21 crore). The company has made only 150 units of Nevera Manufacturing Rimac said that pre-orders for the Nevera R have started. 40 units of it will be made. This electric hypercar has a permanent magnet electric motor, which powers each wheel. Its total output is 2,107 hp. This is 193 hp more than Nevera. With this electric power, the Nevera R can reach a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 1.81 seconds. It takes 4.38 seconds to reach a speed of 0-200 kmph and only 8.66 seconds to reach 0-300 kmph.
This is the second track car to have power of more than 2,000 hp. The most powerful electric car in this respect is the Koenigsegg Gemera (about 2,300 hp). Rimac has said that only about 30 percent of the total parts of Nevera have been used in the new Nevera R.
Its top speed is 412 kmph. The main reasons behind its high speed are better aerodynamics, more downforce and better grip. It has a large carbon fiber rear wing. The company claims that this increases aerodynamic efficiency by about 10 percent and downforce by about 15 percent. It has many driving modes from comfortable to track. Nevera R has a battery with powerful 108 kWh LFP cells. Its battery supports charging up to 500 kW. It has new carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes. Apart from this, there are Michelin tires. The company has also improved its torque vectoring with its all wheel torque technology. EV sales have increased in the last few years. The major markets for these vehicles include America and China.
