1. Check refund status through Income tax e-filing portal

  • First income tax e-filing Portal Go to and log in here.
  • You can log in by entering your PAN number, password and Captcha code.
  • Here go to ‘My Account’ and click or tap on “Refund/Demand Status” option.
  • Here you will get all the information related to refund status as well as filing.

2. Check refund status through NSDL TIN website

  • NSDL TIN Website Go to.
  • Enter your PAN number and assessment year here.
  • Now click or tap on ‘Proceed’ and view the status.

Note: If your refund is not released within the stipulated period of 10 days, you should check for errors in your ITR. If everything is correct, you can email the Income Tax Department for this delay.
