Huawei Preparing to Launch Tri-Fold Smartphone on 10 September, Display, Samsung, Oneplus, Motorola
The company’s CEO, Richard Yu, through social media posts Huawei Huawei has informed that its launch event will be held on September 10. A glimpse of the tri-fold smartphone is also visible in the poster of this event. HarmonyOS smart driving products like Luxeed R7 and a new smart car can also be launched in it. A new segment will be started with Huawei’s tri-fold smartphone. It can have a 10-inch inner screen and it can be like a tablet. In this smartphone, two inward screens and one outer screen can be attached via dual-hinge.
Kirin 9 series chipset can be given in this smartphone. It can have a circular camera module with a slim design. Artificial Intelligence (AI) features can also be given in this tri-fold smartphone. With the launch of this smartphone, Huawei can give tough competition to South Korea’s Samsung in the fast-growing market of foldable smartphones. American devices maker Apple is also planning to bring a clamshell style foldable device.
Huawei launched the foldable smartphone Pocket 2 in February. It is the first clamshell foldable smartphone with four rear cameras. It has sensors on the top right corner of the back panel. Pocket 2 has Kirin 9000s as a processor. This smartphone was launched in China. It has been made available in up to 16 GB of RAM and four colors. Its 256 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 7,499 (approximately Rs 86,400), 512 GB at CNY 7,999 (approximately Rs 92,200) and 1 TB variant at CNY 10,999 (approximately Rs 1,26,800). The company has also introduced an art version of it. It has 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The quad rear camera unit of this smartphone has a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support.
