Amazfit introduced the T-Rex 3 smartwatch at the IFA Berlin trade event today, Friday. The company says that this smartwatch has been specially designed for advanced explorers. Amazfit T-Rex 3 is claimed to have military-grade durability, advanced outdoor navigation features and long battery life. The new Amazfit smartwatch comes with an AMOLED display, for which the company has claimed that it is 16 percent larger and 100 percent brighter than the previous generation T-Rex model. At the same time, it has free offline maps and more than 170 workout modes.

It has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, which supports a peak brightness level of 2000 nits. The new smartwatch includes upgraded Gorilla Glass protection. The display comes with glove mode for sensitive touch support.

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 uses the new ZPS3044 processor, which packs 32GB of onboard storage. It runs Zepp OS 4, which includes an AI assistant powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o and a native app to control the Sonos sound system. The Amazfit smartwatch supports 170 sports modes. This includes a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen monitoring, stress and sleep tracking, as well as the ability to measure skin temperature. The smartwatch is 10 ATM water resistant and claims to withstand free diving up to 45 metres.

It features a massive 700mAh battery, which is about 1.5 times bigger than the previous generation T-Rex 2. The company says that it is capable of delivering up to 27 days of battery life on normal usage and 81 days of battery life in basic watch mode. With GPS turned on, it claims to deliver a run-time of 42 hours in accuracy mode, 114 hours in battery-saver mode, and 180 hours in peak battery-saver mode. However, under heavy usage, the battery life is said to drop to only 13 days. Charging time is said to be 3 hours.
