Chinese scientists discovered Gamma Ray Burst Line biggest explosion in the universe

Super powerful explosions keep happening in our universe, but they are not even detected on Earth. In recent years, as telescopes and observatories have advanced, scientists are getting information about some big explosions. Now researchers from the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have made an important discovery. Report According to, researchers have discovered a gamma-ray spectrum line with energy up to 37MeV. It is claimed that this is the highest energy ever seen from any celestial body. This research has been published in the magazine ‘Science China: Physics, Mechanics and Astronomy’ and sheds new light on the mysteries of gamma-ray bursts.

What is Gama Ray Brust?

Gamma rays are the most energetic form of light. Their energy is trillions of times more than that of ordinary visible light. They cannot be seen or detected easily. Gamma rays are emitted during the explosion of stars and from black holes etc.

The gamma-ray spectrum line discovered by Chinese scientists was detected by the Polar Space Telescope and NASA’s Fermi satellite. Scientists discovered the gamma-ray spectrum line by analyzing the data received from them. According to the report, this success will help scientists to uncover the mystery of gamma-ray explosions and the powerful jets associated with them.

It is noteworthy that two years ago, Indian scientists had also detected a similar explosion. Scientists of Nainital-based Aryabhatta Research Institute of Environmental Sciences (ARIES) along with scientists from Rome had discovered a huge cosmic explosion that occurred at a distance of 1 billion light years. The Gamma Ray Burst or GRB that they detected occurred 1 billion light years away from Earth.

The explosion was discovered by the DOT telescope at Aries and the study was published in Nature.com.
